Internet Explorer Blue Screen of Death

By zekeHLM ·
A co-worker has problems with Internet Explorer and the Blue Screen Of Death. Randomly when clicking a link on a web page (using IE) it blue screens. He hits a key then the screen goes black (only the cursor arrow showing) and has to restart. I thought it may have something to do with the iwon.com co-pilot toolbar he has, but not sure... any ideas?

Definitely.

Run Adaware and Spybot s&d. Remove all of his misc. malicous junk he installed.

Reboot. Goto add/remove programs, remove internet explorer... Select the repair or re-install option. Reboot. Try again.
