Internet Explorer Not Remeber Passwords

By surrealx ·
Hello,

I have a problem with a W2K IE6sp1 machine where Internet Explorer does not remember the passwords for any websites. The user does get asked if they want to remember the password, however the next time when logging onto the site, the username, nor the password is remembered. This does not work for any sites, not even ones that I have tested on other machines to remember passowrds.

Internet options are set correctly. Anybody else ever seen such an issue???

Benn

Hi right click on the icon of IE on your desktop.
go to properties, then go to advanced and click on restore defaults, tehn go to content and auto complete and clear forms and passwords, and check and uncheck what you need.

Close all browsers windows and launch a new window and verify it it will work now.
If not there is most likely a program installed to delete activites while browsing the internet, and this is "interfering" with the remember password options.
