Internet Explorer prob

Howdy Everybody!
I have a windows 98 machine that is giving me problems. It worked fine till the other day it got a virus. (sorry don’t know the name) I cleaned the virus off and had to reload windows. I did not format the system and start over because there is software on it that I cannot find the cd’s for. So I just installed it on top of the pervious install. Everything is working fine except for the internet. When I open IE, It says that Explorer has caused an invalid page fault in module unknown. I’ve dumped all of the network settings and re-installed them and no go. I’ve dumped the dail-up networking and re-installed it and no go. I’ve restored the registry to a former date before the virus and no go. I’ve update IE to the newest version and no go. Anybody got any idea’s???
