Internet Explorer Problem

By Romantickisser ·
I have 2 accounts on my PC, the Administration and the Guest. When you log in as Guest Internet Explorer window cannot open when u click on the IE icon, but it's ok when in the Administration account. I'm not too sure if other programs have the same problem but so far it's only the IE that's having that problem. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

First off, which version of Windows do you have? (and specify Pro or Home versions)
Secondly, is this computer on a network? If so, the internet access may be through the server in which case the Guest account may not have access to it depending on the policies set up by the net admin.

If you have XP the Guest account is generally pretty well tied down by design. you could move the account into a more powerful group if you need to use it. The guest account should genereally be disabled. You should refrain from using the Guest and Administrator accounts anyway. Create yourself your own account and give yourself the level of permissions you'd need on a day to day basis. In fact, my own account is in the Admin group and I've renamed my Admin account. You should only use the Administrator account in emergencies.
