Internet Explorer removal

by bra-k . Updated 24 years, 8 months ago

I have a Windows NT 4.0 SP5 Workstation with Internet Explorer 4 that was factory installed on it. When I try to uninstall it, it tells me I only have the choice to add more compents or restore to original desktop, not to remove it completely. I need to be able to remove it completely in order to remove SP5 and get it down to SP4. Once at that level I will install some costum software that requires no higher than SP4 to install. Once I am able to install this SW I will reinstall the SP’s to SP6a and reinstall IE 6. But I can’t do any of this until I remove IE 4. When I try to uninstall SP5 it says I need to uninstall IE 4 first. I’m just going in circles with this. I realize the fix may be a reg hack, which will not be a problem as long asit gives me results.

Thanks in advance.
