Is there a command that I can add to an Internet Explorer desktop shortcut that would allow it to open in a separate window instead of the window that is currently open??

If you have IE 5.5, there is a box under advanced internet options that says reuse windows for launching shortcuts. Uncheck that box and new windows should open.

If I understand your question, you have IE open, and then you click on the IE icon to open up another window. Is thos correct? If this is correct, you can set up IE to open several windows. I do not remember how I did it, but it can be done. If the above is not what you are looking for, please give more detail. Good luck. I am you can do what you are asking.

I just did the following and it took me to those web sites.

I created IE1 and IE2 on my desktop. Here is what I did:

In properites of the Shortcut (IE1 & IE2). In the Target field I did the following:

example 1

before
"C:\Program Files\Plus!\Microsoft Internet\IEXPLORE.EXE"

after
"C:\Program Files\Plus!\Microsoft Internet\IEXPLORE.EXE" http://login.yahoo.com/config/login_verify2?.src=ym&.intl=us&.done=http%3a//f100.mail.yahoo.com/ym/login%3f.rand=esaego4gcf2fq
("C... to the end of the web site is all one line.)
before
example 2
"C:\Program Files\Plus!\Microsoft Internet\IEXPLORE.EXE"

after
"C:\Program Files\Plus!\Microsoft Internet\IEXPLORE.EXE" http://www.bankozarks.com/
("C... to the end of the web site is all one line.) This should work for you.
