I see loads of trouble with version 7 early on. Are there still problems?

... or were you talking about the type of problems encountered when displaying certain web pages? If the latter, yes.

IE7 Conflicts with Zone Alarm Security core program

by rroberto18 In reply to Internet Explorer version ...

If you use any Zone Alarm/Checkpoint Security product, its core component True Vector (TV) is incompatible with IE7. Upon using IE7, TV crashes which crashes all Zone Alarm Security products using it, then crashes IE 7 itself.

Even the use of the Mozilla browser Firefox can exhibit similar problems with IE7, especially after updating XP with its SP3 patch.

Google's Chrome Browser seems to survive IE7's flaws. It's 2.0 version is extremely fast, easy to use and free.

Happily, the conflicts seen with having multiple anti-virus security products installed on on the same PC does not extend to having multiple browsers. So you can install several browsers and decide which works best for you.

Independently, IE 7 has recently crashed when browsing major websites including if you drill down more than one level.

With this info, it's easy to do the math.ABBIE7 = any browser but IE 7.

Once you've picked an alternate browser, there's no need to remove or roll back IE7 which in itself can be problematic. Just make sure your favorite is the new default browser and IE7 ceases to open, hence no IE 7 problems.

If your browser of choice somehow looses its default status, it will bring up a warning and an easy way to make it your default browser again with one click.
