Not certain why, but I have PC laptop with Windows home hardwired to
a D-Link Router that was working fine for internet access but now I
have lost it. Showing on the internet connections page are 3 icons, the
top being Internet Gateway (disabled), the second is 1394 Net Adapter
(enabled) and the third is Local Area Connection (enabled). The Local
Area status notes connected at 100 mbps, the 1394 status notes
connected at 400 mbps. I did the ping thing and it all seemed to work
ok.
When I try to enable the Gateway it immediately reverts back to
disabled.
Have looked at various settings but have not found something to
work.
The router is working fine as I have a MacBook that accesses it
wireless fine.
I would guess this is something simple like a firewall setting but I am
tired of looking so sending out an SOS to the net for a point in the
right direction,
Thanks much, Timmy
