We have one laptop, a Toshiba, that hangs toe local telnet session to our Unix server when we dial out and acess the Internet. All we need to do is activate the dialer that comes with Windows 95 and as soon as the passowrd is verified and accepted the local telnet session hangs. We have other machines, including Toshiba laptops that function fine under this senario. Have applied the latest IE 5.0 patches, still no luck. Dosen;t matter if you load IE first or try the Telnet first, the local Telnet is always the one that hangs. If you telnet first, it locks and won’t respond. If you launch IE first, telnet won’t even let you log in locally.
