This issue may occur if the Internet Service Provider (ISP) DNS server does not resolve the Uniform Resource Locator (URL) addresses. Make sure you have the proper DNS addresses configured for your network adapter. Also, check your Internet options for browser and re-run connection wizard.

Have you called your Internet Service Provider to ask about this? It may be a site that they are blocking because of spam or other problems. They may say they do not block sites but I know they do. AOL blocks some sites because of activity that they think hackers use.

Is this for a particular web page or all web pages?

If so, like the other individuals stated, it could be a dns problem.

Is there another error at the bottom of the screen or in the bottom of the screen for the browser's title bar?

Does it flash a error message ending with dns.htm?

Check your browser settings to make sure the browser has the correct configuration settings.

Go to tools and the connections tab in the browser and select "lan settings", check to see if a check mark is in "automatically detect settings" This should cause the brower to detect the settings for the network.

Contact your cable provided to make sure you have the correct configuration settings.
