Hi , I’ve been having problems with a clients PC where the internet is concerned.The pc performs well , no problem at all except, it just won’t browse the internet at all! I can ping the IP and the FQDN of the website oddly enough.I don’t believe the firewall or the antivirus on the PC is the problem either …It uses AVG ,the retail version ,which has expired by the way and WinXP’s firewall.I’m thinking it’s a virus .Or maybe port 80 is being blocked somehow….
I removed a bunch of spyware and a couple viruses, trojans etc but still no internet.I’m on the verge of reinstalling XP.Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks
