Running NT4.0 Server SP6 Compaq 400 PII 64 MB RAM 56 KBPS dialup internet connection.
I have tried numerous internet sharing programs and they all are flawed in some way:
(1)PROXY server (trial) doesn’t let the clients bring down the full page. The page parsing stops in the middle.
(2) WINGATE 3.0 trial same as proxy server.
(3) WINPROXY by Lanprojekt works alright BUT only ONE of the clients can connect to SSL servers, the others come up with the “cannot find DNS server” crap page.
(4) iSHARE well this one doesn’t work at all.
Clients are win98 SE 10BaseT cards. 64 MB ram each. ALL machines run IE 5.0 – 2 hubs(CNET 16port(1) 8Port(1)) UTP…..
Anyone can offer ANY suggestions to help with this problem ?
