Internet thro a mobile phone & notebook

Hi,
Environment:
1.Acer TravelMate Notebook. (with Lucent internal modem on comm 3)
2. Win ME OS.
3. Nokia 8210 (with a cable that can connect
to Serial Port of the computer.

I tried to install the internal modem to COM 1. Then using the Serial Port & necessary cable, I connected to the NOKIA mobile phone.

But when I dial, the system states, that no modem has been installed and I cannot dial.
I have checked with the mobile operator, there is no problem with the line..

ANY IDEAS TO MAKE IT WORK IS WELCOME.
