Internet Usage monitoring.

By Diesel ·
We are running Exchange Server 5.5 on our NT Network. I am trying to find out information on software to monitor user access to the internet, sites visited, time online etc. What are the best methods for this ?
Any help will be appreciated !

We use a product called "SurfControl". This application has a very good reporting feature plus it has the ability to block access to predefined sites. The price is relatively inexpensive. We have been very pleased. - JDwyer

Hi! Thank you for your reply. I have actually just been reading through information on Surf Control, and it seemed good - always encouraging to hear from somebody that has used the product !

hi,
the Easiest way i can suggest is to use a proxy, and log the user activity on the proxy.
another Cool way is to use a software called ETHERPEEK , check it at http://www.AGGROUP.COM
this is more of a web traffic sniffer and nothing more. forgood logging ability use a proxy, Wingate is a good choice. if you have a firewall it is posible to setup the fire wall to logg all web activity. Yet another methos is to get a CACHE engine, CACHEFLOW at www.cacheflow.com is a good choice, This is aHARDWARE though.
Hope this helps.
