Intranet Vs Proxy

By anthonym ·
I have a Windows 2000 Server. I'm running a small intranet through IIS for a small group(5) of users. Recently, I took cable internet connection and it's being shared to others through Proxy. The proxy I'm using is: AnalogX Proxy. It's very limited features, no complex configuration, just on/off check buttons for different services (HTTP, FTP, Gopher etc).

Now, except on Server, other users are unable to access the intranet. Users getting the login page but their logins were not processed. They're getting HTTP 401.2 - unauthrozed access error. On one system, they're not able to access even login page too.

It would be nice of you,if can tell me where the problem lies (IIS or Proxy) and what's the remedy.

Thanking you in anticipation

One simple question. Have the users stated on their settings of IE to use the proxy IP and Port? If not, set them up!

Thank you for your time!

Yes, the browsers of client systems were cofigured to connect via proxy with server IP address and port number. But still it's giving problem.

I am trying to connect to intranet in the following way

server being the name of the computer IIS running.

Is that a problem?
