I have a switched PC network consisting of a Cable Modem, 3 PCs running Windows 98, a PC running Windows NT Server 4, and an Appletalk subnet with 7 Macs connected via an additional hub. Most of the machines (excepting the server) have their TCP/IP settings configured for DHCP, so they can use the cable modem for Internet Access. The NT Server is running Internet Information Server 4, and I would like it to deliver html content to all the other computers, while at the same time, all the other computers can still use the cable modem with DHCP. The server used to be a Proxy Server for ISDN Internet, but since the cable came along, I’ve tried many times to connect to the server as a web server – it still works fine as a file server through Network Neighbourhood on PC and Chooser on Mac. How can I resurrect my server as an Intranet Web Server without disrupting the Cable Internet Access? Thanks.
