hi guys,
long time reader first time contributer! I consider myself pretty competant with PCs/Laptops etc but I am stumped for once! Also all shops/friends I have asked equally cannot explain the following problem:
Compaq Presario 2500 aquired a few months ago. Works fine on AC power but once disconnected runs on battery fine for 10 mins then suddenly dies (and battery is discharged)
So.. Replaced battery with to no avail and as it runs on AC fine then DC Jack and the adaptor and cable must be fine, all I can think is that there is a short somewhere but would like to hear some opinions! gold star for person who solves it!
