Our NT 4.0 server was configured as a Domain. The Domain controller was out of order so I tried to remove this server from the domain. I tried to change its network configuration from a domain to a workgroup with a new workgroup name. But after restarting the server, I found out I could not login using the old domain's administrator password. Now im stuck because I cant get inside the server. Any idea/s?

You need the password of local Admin or an account with Admin right.

You may use third-party software that cracks or resets any password.

Or you may use the old fashioned way. The idea is to change Windows NT default screen saver to command prompt and use User Manager to reset Admin?s (or any account) password.

You do not need to install alternate (or parallel install) Windows NT. Instead, you may connect the HD to a computer with Windows NT (Server or Workstation) to copy cmd.exe to logon.scr.

For more information, search Google with key words ?lost administrator password?.
