Invisible files filling up Hard disk

by tej_dyal . Updated 17 years, 3 months ago

Symptom: C: drive is 0k free space. If I clear up temp files, remove unneccessary programs it fills up again to 0K free space in 5 minutes. Anaylysing the sizes of folders on C: drive I discover this perculiarity – When clicking properties of c:\winnt I get a total all file size of 23.5GB but when I go into the the winnt folder, select all, right click to properties I am given only 1.08GB. So there are 22GB files hidden somewhere despite haveing the folder settings set to “view all” – I suspect virus so I run Computer Associates Trust, I also run Stinger and FixZotob. No virus found. help would be much appriciated on this. Thanks
