By oromo1 ·
Hello,

8500 HP printer and win98 client machine has the same IP address. How would I solve this problem?

I would suggest changing the IP address on the win98 client.

Either from the panel on the front of the printer, change the printers IP or under network setting on the win98 machine change it's ip. Or if you are running DHCP assign the printer a static IP and exclude that IP from the scope of your network.

Check your DHCP server, create an excluded range for hardware, Ie I exclude .120 to .150 for servers and .60 to .80 for printers
