IP Addressing

The difference between Cisco's method of calculations for Broadcast, Network, and Subnets is different than conventional methods.

It's very confusing.

Also, "borrowing" bits is a vague term that I don't fully comprehend.

Any assistance I can get will be GREATLY appreciated!!

As far as i've seen ciscos method for calculating broadcast, networks, ect is the same as many other books and magazines.

How ever if you look at the address below you will find the tech republic article:-
