IP confilct message in Win2k

by vigo98 . Updated 25 years ago

Hi all.
I have a Compaq Armada E500 laptop (with win2k) that is connected to pure Win2k network. Every time I boot it one of my servers flags an IP address conflict message.
The laptop is getting it’s IP from a DHCP server that is installed on another Win2K server. The server that flags the message has a static IP 192.168.1.101
My laptop is getting 192.168.1.61 all the time (based on MAC address). The scop used by DHCP server is 192.168.1.41-90
As you can see it doesn’t even have 192.168.1.101

And the most important thing is that everything is working fine. Both Server and Laptop have network access, just the stupid message show up.

If anybody ever saw anything like that, plz, let me know.

Thanks, Victor
