IP conflict (server 2003) Firewall box

In our network we have 20 servers on the LAN that are using the following static IP address e.g. 607.67.78.1 and 200 work station that are on a DHCP using the following range 607.67.68.1. The problem is my firewall server got an IP conflict we traced and found that it was conflicting with one of the workstation using the following range 607.67.68.1. how is this possible how can I stop it please help

Set a Static IP Address on the Server different to the One

That it is conflicting with.

As to why it is happening you need to tell how the LAN is configured and if you are using Auto Assigned or Static IP Addresses.

Conflicting took place twice

May I please add that this happened twice, with the same server but second time around the server was not conflicting with any other computer? What I did is, I removed RJ45 restarted the server twice plugged the cable back restarted the server with the cable then it was fine. Could this have anything to do with haw LAN was set up?

Have you checked the DHCP scope for your static IP Addressing?
