IP forwarding

I have a problem with TCP/IP when using Windows XP Professional on my laptop. I want to disable the IP forwarding for using the VPN client software but I do not know how to disable this. Pls help me.

It's not likely that ip forwarding is even enabled in the first place, unless someone has enabled it. I believe that XP pro comes with ip forwarding disabled. In any event, clickk start>help and support, type in ip forwarding in the search field and it'll bring up a heading on how to enable ip forwarding. It's a registry setting that needs to be modified, so be careful. I know you wanted to disable ip forwarding and not enable it, but this will get you where you need to be to see whether it's enabled or not.
