The last 3 days on my network have been chaos. I have had 6 ip hijacks, after changing the users ip the old one continues to be active. I found that there was activity through ICMP. i did a little reading and found that it is possible for a cable modem to connect through our internet router and basically hijack IPs. Are there any tools that can be used to locate the external intruder and block them (firewall did not work) or could this possibly be a virus.
any help is appreciated
