Ip issue

by shamim.akhter . Updated 19 years ago

Recently I bought laptop and belkin wireless router.I setup the router with my desktop pc and put security password and everything. It’s work fine but when I setup my laptop for wireless network I’m having problem with connection. My laptop is windows vista operating system.I try to dignoss and it say ip conflict so I open lan network and under TCP/IP setting I put “obtain Ip address automatically” and that’s it!! I got connection right of away. But if I disconnect network connection and try to connect back I can’t.So I went back to that TCP/IP place and find out that it went back by it self to “Use the following Ip\dns addresses”I thoght may be previously I didn’t click apply so I put it back again to “obtain ip address automatically”click ok and works again! .But now everytime I disconnect to internet I have to go back and change tcp/ip setting to automatic. Can someone please help me ..why it changing TCP/IP settings went back by itself to “Use the following Ip\dns addresses”Please help me!
