iPad2 videos?

By artg77 ·
My wife is big on videos on our laptop. Netflix, Hulu, Soap opera websites and news outlets. Can the iPad handle those sites with all its video contents without a hitch?

Yes and No

Hulu and Netflix work (there are Apps for that), as there are apps for YouTube and many other sites.

HOWEVER, many sites use Adobe Flash to render video (there's no app for that).

Down the road, Adobe is developing a server product to allow a web site to render flash content for flash-free devices, but for now, if the web site requires Adobe Flash, it will not work on the iPad (or iPhone).

Note that there are lots of work-arounds, like iSwifter, SkyFire, CloudBrowse, but actual mileage may vary.

Most of these apps take your flash-enabled web page, copies it to their cloud-based service, then renders it back to your ipad. Have fiddled with SkyFire on iPhone and it sorta worked, most of the time.
