i have configured an ipfw firewall in freebsd 6.2, everything is going fine except bandwidth management in which till that date i am failed and one more thing which is urgently demanded by my setup that i have almost 200 plus users in my organization, all are coming to internet through this single gateway (ipfw installed ) now i want to restrict and allow users on the basis of mac address, similarly to get u closer to my problem i have also found the syntax of this mac rule but its looking so hectec to write each 200 plz lines in my firewall ipfw script, i want tht i redirect ipfw to a file where i entered my mac addresses of users, but howz its possible and is this feasible and match with other defined rules in my firewall, i , that’s why contact the tech republic for help, plz help me out.
