IPhone App and pre-requistes for the business

Iam working as IT Manager in the real estate and construction company, we are in process of implementing the SugarCRM, roll out is happening in phases in a maxium one month will succeffully complete and will be on live using the same. At this moment IPhone App service provider have contacted our upper management and informed IPhone App will increase the productivity, for which management has asked me to look into this matter.

1.our users do not have an IPPhones how does this work and what are the pre-requites to for this solution.
2.We are not in the mpls network , do we need to go for mpls and impletement ip telephony solution.
3.As we are rolling out CRM instead of IPhone App getting developed the CRM for mobile will be a better idea and makes sense.

Personally at a guess here

I would suspect that the people in question are attempting to Sell iPhones and the associated services to make them work in a similar manner to the preferred CRM Solution.

But that's just a guess and I do know many people who claim that Business and Domestic Appliances like iPhones shouldn't be mixed as you end up with the worst of everything possible.
