    ipx/tcpip and nds

We are currently routing ipx and everything is fine. Our Novell OS ver are 4.10 & 4.11.
We are coming up on an additional network which will not route ipx.

Q – If I have users on this new segment (ip only) and load and bind IP on the netware servers on the old segment along with existing ipx, will these users be able to get to their data and apps. I guess I would use the netware client configured for ip?

Can you think of any additional problems that may occur? With only IP loaded on the client, will authenication work with NDS?

    Thanks in advance.

My answer is in the form of a question to you why would you insist on using the slower and more unstable IP over the faster and stable IPX.

I guess you can ask the rest of the IT industry why Tcpip is the protocol of choice. How many new installation are coming up ipx verses ip?
