I have recently upgraded the memory in my laptop (Compaq Presario 2100) from 256mb to 1024mb. With these chips in the system is prone to regular crashing, could be just after starting, could be half an hour later, depends how it feels I guess !!!! The blue screen appears and the message is always IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. If I replace the upgrade chips with the original one it never crashes. I suspected faulty RAM so the shop exchanged them for me with a different make and still the same problem. Any ideas or should I return these and exchange again? (The shop tested the returned RAM and found no fault by the way)
