IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR EQUAL BSOD

by jose.angel.fernandez.freire . Updated 19 years, 6 months ago

Hi there.

Here’s my first post to try some help about a BSOD that’s making me crazy.

I’ve read almost everything everywhere about it (even in Microsoft) but I couldn’t find the solution yet.

Issues:

– It only appears when playing with a Logitech Momo racing USB steering wheel
– No temp problem
– I’m using the latest drivers of Sound Card (hercules Fortissimo III), Video Card (NVidia 7600GS) and Steering Wheel.
– The dump appears with two different games, so the game is not the problem. But only with games + steering wheel.
– I’ve started from a fresh registry as explained here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353/en, but failed, event with all services (antivirus included) stopped and driver reinstalled.
– I’ve tried memtest and Windows memory test, but everything is OK
– I’ve tried to slow down the memory bus from 533 to 400, but nothing.
– I’ve tried to assign manually the PCI irq in BIOS (PCI 1 = 5, PCI 2 = 9). Nothing.

Things that I have to try

– Sound Card. I don’t know why, but I start suspecting about Sound Card…Could be????
– Complete reinstall
– Play with steering wheel in other PC (Logitech have sent an email telling me that steering wheel could be wrong…but it seems to me like SciFi…)
– Chkdsk??? Sure? Could be?

Any other idea? Am I in the right track?

Thanks for your support,
