Is a smooth Win2k transition possible?

By davevw ·
Here is the setup:

We have five locations in our WAN. Each has its own server. HQ has 3 servers. We have around 190+ users. We use AutoCad R14, GIS, and several other CAD programs on the workstations. All running NT4 for the most part. They almost all include Office 97 but that will stay 97 until Office 2000 is more feature rich or costs less. The servers are all NT4 with ArcServe. One running Exchange.

Here is the problem:

How can we get the best results making the transition from NT4 to Win2k?

DOes anybody know of any issues with the above software? I have heard some things about AutoCAD, and ARCServe, but would like some input on some of the do's and don'ts about each software package. Has anbody done a transition like thisrecently? How long did it take? We have 2 IT guys here.
