Is an i5 gen 10 good enough to run Photoshop/Lightroom

I’ve got an old Dell xps i7-2600 desktop with minimal graphics, Win10. I use it primarily for photography, esp. Lightroom and Photoshop. The computer is failing, the BIOS can’t be upgraded, it’s time for a new one. My budget is very limited, though.

I thought I’d need another i7 CPU, but looking at benchmarks, the 10th gen i5-10400F seems to be a great deal, especially paired with an Nvidia 1660 gpu.

My question is, is the i5 good enough for my photography needs, or do I need to get an i7 processor?

What would the better deal be? A 10gen i5, or a 8gen i7? Any other ideas?

    Thanks for any help.
