I'm considering getting a Bachelor's of Science in Network Security from the University of Advancing Technology. I'm a little unsure about doing this for two reasons:
1. I don't think UAT is a "well known" college. I could get a degree in CIS from a number of good colleges in my state. I'm afraid this could hurt my chances of getting a job.
2. Is a BA in Network Security an established, usable degree like Computer Information Systems?
This is where I'm at now: Age:23 Experience: 2 years as a LAN admin for a small business. Education: AAS in Networking, plus LAN Admin cert, hope to get CCNA soon.
My reason for considering online college: easier to attend while working full-time.
Any input would be greatly appreciated by this IT noob. Thanks. -Kenneth
