Is having more than 2 Monitors, even worth it?

I get the advantages of having more than 1 computer screen but to me 2-3 is more than enough and I can’t imagine anyone needing more than that but I might be wrong.

The primary user of multiple monitors is typically a hard-core gamer or someone who frequently accesses multiple applications and does not want to constantly shut one down and open another one.

I used to work at as a technical representative for a cell phone company and we often needed to view multiple applications simultaneously that could not be easily be viewed on one monitor. With screen re-sizing, I could view 4 or more applications on 2 monitors.

For a private perslon, probably not much. But in a company, it can save a lot of money.

I find the 2nd to be very handy to check the web, some PDF etc.

Today I’m back to a single monitor and for quick lookups I’ll pull out my phone so it’s now my on demand second screen.

Yes, having more than 2 monitors is worth it if you have multiple messaging applications or tabs that are not wanted to be closed and programs.
