Is it possible to upgrade a Toshiba A-100 Proceessor and graphics

By eezatit ·
I would like to be able to use a 23" monitor HD 1080p Phillips that was gifted to me.All I have is 2 laptops Toshiba's 1-Toshiba A100 Centrino Duo 1.6ghz 1gb Ram,2.Toshiba U300 Intel Dual-Core@1.73ghz 1gb Ram.Is it possible to combine them or change a motherboard or is it worth it?Is there external graphics cards available? Is there an adapter to go from standard 15 pin to digital vid plug? It's a shame to have this brand new monitor and not be able to use it

No not really as currently we are not as advanced as the Xerox Lidia System was where you could share Processing Power/RAM and so on over the network. All we can currently share is Data.

or change a motherboard

Not worth it and most likely not possible.

Is there external graphics cards available?

NO there is not

Is there an adapter to go from standard 15 pin to digital vid plug?

Yes this is called a DVI to VGA Adapter and should be available as either a 1 inch long adapter or a Lead that starts about 1 meter long and then gets bigger/longer.

These can go either way from DVI to VGA or from VGA to DVI depending on what you need and if you do not already have one should be available from Radio Shack and other places like that.
