is it possible to view your e-mail from previously saved pst's without having to import them on Outlook?

Yes, there's an app for that

Since the PST is a database file, you can read the file with a utility such as Mail Navigator.

i installed it, and when i read the directions, it said you have to import the pst file into outlook and it will read them that way?

am i reading that wrong?

It says:

"If you want to simply extract messages from the pst archives of MS Outlook programs, load the mail folders from MailNavigator, and then export the messages in ASCII format, RFC-822 format or in the MBX format of Eudora Mail. To do this you should use the menu command:
Message | Save as...

However, it is much more effective to use the system of message search included in MailNavigator. "

Maybe the trial version works different than the paid version?

you have to register to do it, thanks for the responce anyways. i want to use this for a few people that are not computer savy. i would probably need something easier
