In light of recent news of Windows Vista SP1 on the way, what is everyone’s take on this?
My laptop is set to auto-update. I’m rather concerned that I might have a large problem with SP1 and need to roll back to the backup I had made when I first got my laptop (since it did not come with any recovery media on separate discs). It’s a hassle I rather avoid.
I would probably advise doing a full backup soon before SP1 hits.
What is everyone else thinking of doing? Are you going to turn off the Windows automatic update and then just check and get what you want or are you going to backup and auto update, allowing SP1 to get installed?
