Is it safe to delete the Recycler Folder on a Windows 2003 SP2 Server

I have a Windows 2003 Server SP2. It is running low on disk space. I have found that the server Recycler folder has almost 300MB of space. Is it okay to delete this?

if you delete the folder it will just reappear and start filling up again

it’s a Server, not a workstation
and doesn’t need the Recycle Bin

a> open the Recycle Bin Properties
– right click on the Recycle Bin icon
b> change the default percentage to 0%
c> also tick the box do not move deleted files to the Recycle bin
