there is no such thing as a pure Object Oriented Programming language.
java was kludged together to be object oriented right from day one of it's development.

java is a kludge, since there are multiple jvms/jres for it. it's completely useless until there is one jvm/jre that runs every java application ever written. Multiple jvms/jres are a BUG, not a feature as most java junkies would have you beleive.

java is not pure oops. Because which language is supports primitive data type that not a oops. so java supports primitive data types.

JAVA is not pure OOP

Java is a OOP language and it is not a pure Object Based Programming Language

Many languages are Object Oriented. There are six qualities to be satisfied for a programming language to be pure Object Oriented. They are:

1. Encapsulation/Data Hiding
2. Inheritance
3. Polymorphism
4. All predifined types are objects
5. All operations are performed by sending messages to objects
6. All user defined types are objects.

JAVA is not because it supports Primitive datatype such as int, byte, long... etc, to be used, which are not objects.
