Is letting go fair?

Would you please tell me what my friend should answer if she has a new job interview? She has not done anything like above.

Can anyone please explain why it is like this? A friend of mine used to work at Fay Servicing, LLC downtown Chicago. The other Indian guy came to join the company almost at the same time. He is not SharePoint person. But she is SharePoint expert certified. She always finished the projects on time and built everything from scratch creatively and professionally. She did not do anything wrong. Managers always said to her that she was doing good and she always finished the job in the right way. One day, this idiot guy made troubles to her and a mess to her work. She blocked him on SharePoint site. Later he sent harassed messages to her phone. She reported to the police and HR. Guess what? Now I do not understand why HR at Fay Servicing, LLC was doing this. They said that they cannot solve the problem because it was between her and him. They let her go even though they kept saying she has not done anything wrong, and she was doing good and she always finished her tasks in the right way. And they said that they let her go because the company is changing to work with outsources. And they kept saying that she has not done anything wrong. Later on, we found out from our investors and clients that this Indian guy is a spy and he impersonated many managers at his former company. And he also tried to steal clients data. But HR at Fay Servicing, LLC did not care what he did. Is it strange for my friend who was let go by this "funny" company?
