Update files

You should read the message closer.

Microsoft did send out at least 2 security update emails yesterday.

The warning in the email is that Microsoft NEVER sends out the files to update your PC as an attachment to a security bulletin.

The exact text from the email I received is:

"If you receive an e-mail that claims to be distributing a Microsoft security update, it is a hoax that may be distributing a virus. Microsoft does not distribute security updates via e-mail."

Key word is "distribute". Microsoft does send out notification of security updates via email IF you singed up for security updates.

If you are ever in doubt, browse to the Microsoft TechNet security page manually and verify that a new bulletin has been created.

Remove any spaces from the pasted link.
