is Sage reliable on a Network?

By gurus_hame ·
Will sage products work on a network?
am trying to find out if i can run sage products from a network attached storage device?
this would hopefully enable myself and associates to make backups easily.
basically looking for best method to backup the accounts and payrole software.
would a file server solution work better?

many thanks
M

Sage

Hi i've run multiple versions of sage (line 50 line 100, v5,v6 etc) off a file server without issue for years. only issue is your concurrent licenses etc. I log in as manager and am able to backup the sage database from every client machine. Not to sure about the SAN option, i/o speed on the database etc. If i were you go for the standard file server option.
Hope this helps

The biggest problem with SAGE is that they choose what they will support. It might work but when you call for support they usually won't support it.
