Is Tech Republic a database for scammers?

Hi good folks,

I’m a rookie, so I don’t know much of what has transpired before. I joined the Tech Republic 18 March 2007. As soon as I logged out (after joining up) and went to check my e-mail, my INBOX was awash with spam and phishing schemes. It has remained so every day since, with about 30 to 40 offensive scams per day, and a few tracking cookies as well.

Have any other members noticed the same phenom?
