On a extremely high resolution monitor you’ll not notice any real difference.

Difference Between 60Hz and 120Hz Monitors: Is the Upgrade Worth It?

Yes, a 120Hz monitor offers smoother visuals and less motion blur compared to a 60Hz monitor, especially for gaming or fast-moving content. If you’re into gaming or high-refresh tasks, the upgrade will be noticeable.

You’ll see next to no difference when they close in on a fast moving car going up the main straight. The car will be in perfect focus but the background may be fuzzy which will not be improved by a faster refresh rate on your monitor as it is the result of the Camera recording the movement.

Try watching two F1 cars come onto a Drag Reduction Section of the track and try to see any pixalation of the rear wing when it opens or closes I’ll bet unless you stop the movement and look at frame by frame you’ll not see any as you do not see it on HD TV’s no matter how advanced that they are.

60Hz vs. 120Hz: Is the Upgrade Worth It?

Yes, there’s a noticeable difference, especially in gaming or fast-paced content. A 120Hz monitor provides smoother motion and reduces blur compared to 60Hz. If you value fluid visuals, it’s worth the upgrade!

The difference between a 60Hz and a 120Hz monitor can be noticeable, depending on what you’re using it for. Here’s a breakdown:

Gaming: For fast-paced games, a 120Hz monitor offers smoother motion, reducing screen tearing and providing a more responsive experience. This is especially important for competitive gaming where every frame matters.

General Use: For regular tasks like browsing or watching videos, the difference between 60Hz and 120Hz isn’t as noticeable. You’ll still get smooth performance, but it’s less important than in gaming.

Video Watching: If you’re streaming movies or TV shows, 60Hz is usually fine, as most video content is capped at 60 frames per second (FPS). You won’t see much of a difference unless you’re watching high-frame rate content.

If gaming is a priority for you, upgrading to a 120Hz monitor could make a noticeable difference. Otherwise, if you’re mainly using it for productivity or casual use, the 60Hz will likely suffice.
