Is there a font limitation for WindowsME

I know of the limitations on number of fonts installed for Windows 95 and 98, but can not find info for Windows ME.

Not necessarily a number, but the registry can only handle strings up to 64k in size. If you exceed this limit, then you will get "Out of registry space" errors, like in Win95/8.

What you can do, if you want to install a lot of other fonts is to create a "Offline Fonts" folder and move your "less used" (not system fonts) in there.

Also be on the look out that it is not windows with a limitation, but programs like PageMaker that are also limited in what they will display. Example PageMaker 5.0 will only show the first 100 font's installed in alphbeticial order.
