Is there a way to map the user interfaces to the core business logic?

By Optimistic Maverick ·
Hello,

I am currently working on a trading application. At the core of this application are a set of formulas that shape the outcome of investor portfolio's. When the investor checks out his portfolio, the core business logic springs into action, calculates his equity position using those formulas and displays them on a web form. Is there any way (I WOULD PREFER IF YOU COULD MENTION A TOOL RATHER THAN A DOCUMENT TEMPLATE ) to link the core logic with the user interfaces in a clear and concise manner? This depiction would allow anyone to relate the figures and numbers shown on the screen to the calculation process.
I have used USE CASES but USE CASES descriptions are not detailed enough to represent the essential logic.
