is there any advantage from e-messenger over msn messenger

hello all

as we all know virus pass through msn messenger, so i was wondering if using your risk to have virus is less... or is exactly the same???

Hey, well to answer your question I have to say that all IM programs are the same in how many viruses they transfer. The real problem is what you are allowing to get into your computer. If you have file transfer on, that is not the best of ideas so I would shut off any type of file transfering capabilities. And usualy the best way to avoid getting a virus is if you just allow the people on your buddy list to contact you. Make sure you have only one firewall going at all times because 2 or more can mess up the firewall's protection to viruses in case there happens to be one. I recommend that if you are into file sharing through messenger, that you invest in the latest trend micro anti virus software. So both are the same. Just be observant of who you talk to.

There might be some adware programs and antivirus programs to help with protection, but your best bet is to stick with Outlook Express.

Hackers are heading away from this application and targeting the ones that are more common.
