Our agency owns an uses a Canon FS200 camcorder. I have successfully pulled video from it, converted, edited with Windows Movie Maker, then created a movie file and burned to DVD. However, this is a harried and time consuming process. I need a way to pull the video clips (MOD format) from the camcorder, edit (clip and merge easily), then convert and encode with sound to a movie file that can be posted on our network or burned to DVD. Does anyone know how to easily do this? I am the tech support person here, but I am not a video expert and don’t have the time to do tons of research and trials. It seems that it should be fairly easy to do, but doesn’t seem to be. I do not like the software that came with the camcorder either. Any help would be appreciated!
